Dutch music group Krabat from the Archive

Expatsradio goes to Holland to meet Krabat and speak to the singer/songwriter who leads the group, Aschwin Schreiber.

In this expat radio programme Aschwin explains a bit about his background and how experiences over the last 25 years have been the inspiration for his songs. When asked what heading his music goes under he tells us it is really world music. Whatever the heading, this is music with a story.

The lead singer, Jeannette Broekhuijsen, has a spectacular deep voice that has undertones of jazz and blues. She could sing the phone book and make it exciting!

The three songs we feature each have something different and we think that this is a band you might find interestingly different! Have a listen to the programme and let us know your opinion.

If you have a band or are a singer/songwriter who would like to come on our station wherever you are, please do make contact. We want our listeners to hear what is happening out there and not only what record companies decide is good for us!
