I signed on as a volunteer Ambassador for Paula Lucas' organization in 2009, and, taking advantage of her presence in Paris next month, decided to organize what we are calling the International Domestic Violence Forum for the English Speaking Community. My aim is to sensitize the entire English speaking community in the Paris area about the issue of domestic violence with Paula as my keynote speaker. Here are just some of the issues we shall be discussing:
What are the main issues regarding Domestic Violence in general?
What are the laws in France and what are the resources in Paris for victims?
What will your Embassy do to help affected expats if the need arises?

Other speakers: Representatives from the Fédération Nationale Solidarité Femmes; Paris Aide aux Victimes; Embassies of the English speaking community.
